1st

After the morning service you are invited to stay for the monthly Student / Welcome lunch.

 
4th

At 2.30pm today (Friday) Glen Wakeling and Shelley Barker will be getting married.  We would like to wish them all the best and hope for lovely weather.

 
6th

We will be holding a lunch to Welcome Stephen Gamble as our new curate, all are welcome and if you would like to join us for lunch please add your name to the sign up sheet at the back of the church.  This will be a BRING & SHARE lunch.  Please contribute ‘cold finger foods’ (ie sausage rolls, quiche, sandwiches, cakes, etc) only, nothing that requires a knife or fork...any sort of buffet to share amongst the group.

 
12th

CHURCH OUTING

This year the church outing will be to the National Memorial Arboretum at Lichfield and then on to Lichfield Cathedral.  The coach will leave the church at 9.30 am and due to return about 7.30 pm, the cost for the trip per person is £10 per adult and £6 per child.  Please collect a letter about this outing form one of the welcome team and if you wish to take part, please fill in the tear off strip at the bottom and return to either Derrick or church wardens.

At Leicester Cathedral 4pm.  God's Fragile World: Global views of climate change.

Come and celebrate our life and faith together with Bishops from around the world, and join the debate about climate change.  The background is that in the run up to the Lambeth Conference, 9 Bishops from around the world will be staying in our diocese. They include The Bishop of Bangladesh who is an expert on this subject which affects the whole world. There will be worship, refreshments and discussion as we send the Bishops to the Lambeth Conference with our support and prayers.

Our second wedding for July will be for Paul Jarram and Katrina Booth.  This wedding will take place at 1pm, again we would like to wish them good weather and all the best for their wedding.

Fiori Musical Chamber Orchestra will be holding a concert in the Church starting at 7.30pm.  Penelope Rapson will be directing this performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, with Kerstin Linder –Dewan playing violin and Grace Davidson, Soprano.  Tickets are available on the door or from Fiori Musicali Box Office 01327 360931

Today we will be baptising Libby Emma Last-Axten and Jasmine Wells and wish them and their families all the very best.

The third Sunday of the month will be ‘Curry’ evening.  This will be held at a local restaurant (TBA closer to the time) and will generally start at 7pm.  All are welcome.
