All Saints with Holy Trinity

Parish and Church Location

All Saints Church exterior
The parish of All Saints with Holy Trinity is home to at least 11,000 people and a place of work to about 15,000.  It contains residential areas (those to the East - i.e. the Nottingham side - of the A6) and a large industrial estate.  Many of the Victorian and twentieth century factories in the centre of the parish have been closed in recent years and are being converted into flats.  The parish is a complex collection of different ethnic, faith and language communities and although the parish church is at its heart we are very aware that this is an area rich with different places of worship.

The church is on the north east side of Loughborough town centre at the corner of Steeple Row and Church Gate:

How to find Loughborough Parish Church

Coming north or south on the M1

Leave M1 at Junction 23 and take the A512 into Loughborough.  Go straight ahead through two sets of junction lights and across the two roundabouts so that you are travelling down Ashby Road.  This is leafy with large houses and then becomes less leafy and more commercial.  You turn left immediately on the corner of Sainsbury's into Greenclose Lane.  (This is the 6th on the left on Ashby Road after the second roundabout).  You can’t go straight on at this point.

Greenclose Lane is very short.  At the bottom of it turn left and get into the right hand lane.  Go through the pedestrian lights, almost immediately and then turn right at the junction lights into Bridge Street.  It will be signposted Nottingham and the station probably.  You then turn second right into Rectory Place and follow the road round.  It becomes narrower and quite leafy.  The Parish church is the third driveway on the left.

From Leicester

Take the A6 towards Loughborough from Leicester.  Keep on the A6 following signs for town centre into the town. This involves taking the exit of a roundabout near Quorn and ignoring the second exit, which also says Loughborough.  Follow the A6 into town; past the cemetery entrance on your left and straight on at the lights, past the Loughborough Endowed School, through two more sets of junction lights.  The shops now start to build up. Go across the next lights with Geoff Toys on your far left-hand side and then take the next right into Baxter Gate, with Denham the Jewellers on your right hand side.  At the next junction turn left into Lemyngton Street and then take the next right into Church Gate and first left into Steeple Row and the church entrance is fist driveway on your right.

From Nottingham and the A60

Follow the A6 into Loughborough up and over the railway bridge.  Continue straight on at the lights and up and over the canal bridge.  Continue up the hill, Nottingham Road, through two sets of junction lights and then follow the road round to the right past the Beacon Bingo Hall on your right.  After you have turned to the right take the next right into Church Gate and first left into Steeple Row and the church entrance is first driveway on your right.

Parking

The nearest large car park is the Rushes Car Park on the A6

Carry on to the end of Steeple Row, turn left onto Bridge Street, the Rushes Shopping Centre will be on your left but the Car Park entrance is on the A6 end also called The Rushes.  At the end of Bridge Street turn left onto The Rushes and the car part entrance is on the left.

Alternatively retrace to Beacon Bingo and at the traffic lights turn right onto Sparrow Hill and follow the road round onto Pinfold Gate and there is an open-air car park on the right.
